In 7 Card Stud each player is dealt 3 cards initially, two down and one up, a round of betting happens and then another card is dealt face up and another round of betting happens, the same thing happens on fifth and sixth street and then on seventh street the final card is dealt face down followed by the final betting round. At showdown the best five card poker hand once again wins the pot.
