The two starting days, day 1a and day 1b have now been played in the €5.300 buy-in EPT Deauville Main Event. 339 players entered the event on Day 1a, and a massive 550 more were added to the field on Day 1b.
A total of 889 players had registered for this incarnation of EPT Deauville, just two less than the record 891 who came to play last year
At a €5,300 buy in, the total prize pool is €4,267,200, with a €875,000 first-place prize. A total of 128 players will end up in the money, with a minimum cash of €7500 .
Eugene Katchalov, Dario Minieri, Fabrice Soulier, Vanessa Selbst, and Viktor 'Isildur1' Blom all busted out during the two starting days.
The well-known pros that have done well so far include the likes of Vanessa Rousso, Fatima Moreira de Melo, Jake Cody, Luca Pagano and Liv Boeree.
Adding the Day 1b survivors to the 221 through from Day 1a means we will see an approximate total of 546 begin play at 12 p.m. local time in Deauville Thursday.
