After all the bad publicity the game of poker received in recent times, there is some promising news coming from South America.
We all as poker players try and convince people everyday that poker is a game of skill and not a form of gambling.
Alot of poker players like using the line of, " if it is shown on ESPN (SkySports) it is considered a sport", well now especially after Black Friday this is a very positive step from the Brazilians to show the world that poker is actually a sport and not a form a pure gambling.
The Brazilian Ministry of Sport has recognised poker as a game of skill.
The Ministry of Sport's website now states that "poker is a competitive practice in which the participant requires intelligence, ability and intellectual and behavioral skills to succeed."
So now that Brazil has taken one of the first steps to poker being consdered a sport, who will follow them?
